Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional, enhances chocolate flavor)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips (dairy-free if needed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a large, microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and espresso powder (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Stir in the almond flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
